Dr. William Sen is the CEO of Blue Media Marketing, Inc., a San Diego-based SEO and digital marketing agency. He’s been working in search engine optimization since 2001, back when the field was still called “web positioning,” making him one of the earliest SEO practitioners in Germany. He even wrote the first German Wikipedia entry on search engine optimization.

His path into digital marketing started even earlier, in 1996, building websites and running online marketing campaigns for legal, medical, media, and construction clients. Over the years he’s worked with major brands including BMW, Mercedes, Procter & Gamble, Ford, Microsoft, and DHL. After moving to San Diego, he built Blue Media into one of the leading SEO agencies in Southern California.

Beyond agency work, Dr. Sen holds a position as Associate Professor at TH Köln, Germany’s largest university of applied sciences, where he teaches SEO and digital marketing. He’s also a published author, journalist, and founder of Germany’s first Social Media Magazine, and he organized the country’s first Social Media Conference for seven years running.
